Diane L.
Private tutor in Lafayette, LA
Education
Mathematics Major at University of Louisiana. I am in my Sophomore year of college with the GPA of 3.7/3.8. My main focus is to become a professional math tutor with an associate degree for starters then moving to Bachelor's.
Experience
I have 1 year of tutoring experience in Mathematics. It was back in Seattle, WA. I tutored pre-college level math classes. (i.e. basic math skills, intermediate algebra, etc.) The reason why I want to tutor is because I love helping people succeed in Math. It brings me great joy helping people pass their pre-requisites like Math. As a student, I understand the struggle of learning math as well as being able to pass with comprehension. It was one tough road that I went through. I also tutored other students outside of my work time without charge. I would like the further the amount of experience I have by tutoring more people. I don't discriminate as I have taught all kinds of people. I have taken Math History during my college journey and excelled in it. At the moment, I am trying to complete Pre-Calculus.

Hobbies
I write free-style poetry during my spare time. They are mainly about societal issues and to vent. I am a caring, kind, responsible, helpful, and supportive student as I will go above and beyond to help whatever student I can. I may not know ALL the answers, but I do my best to help! Whether it is to quickly search for a refresher/hint or looking into my books, I will find a way! I also learned to adapt when a student does not understand and find another way to explaining the concept. I would also charge at a decent price for my services. (About $15-$20 per hour.)
